Fears For Future Of Harborough’s Animal Foodbank

An animal foodbank in Market Harborough could be forced to close due to dwindling donations blamed on the cost of living crisis, which has also led to record demand.

Dogz Dinner has provided a 3,000 free meals to people struggling to afford to feed their pets In the past six months, as well as to animal rescue shelters, but is now unable to help all those in need.

The service was launched five years ago this week by Lisa Parratt, who fears it will have to end without more support:

The animal foodbank has a drop-off point for donations of cat and dog food outside 93 Meadow Street and is appealing for a shop or business in the town centre to also act as another collection point.
