Charity Supporting Struggling Young Families Having Busiest Year Ever

A Market Harborough charity which supports young families who are struggling is experiencing the busiest time in its 38-year history.

Home-Start South Leicestershire is currently supporting around 100 families across the district, who have at least one child aged under five in them.

It says the cost-of-living crisis had led to more people turning to them for help, along with a high prevalence locally of new Mums with post-natal illnesses.

The increased demand has led to the charity to appeal for more volunteers and wants people with parenting experience to sign-up to a training course which starts next month.
