Villagers Left With No Water After Main Bursts

Residents in a number of villages have no water or very low pressure after a water main burst.
Anglian Water say the leak near Clipston is affecting people there, as well as in Kelmarsh, Arthingworth, East Farndon, Great Oxendon and Lamport.
The company says it understands the impact on customers in the hot weather and engineers are working to fix the leak as quickly as possible.
An Anglian Water spokesperson said: “We’re sorry that some customers around Clipston are experiencing low water pressure or no water.
“Burst water mains are more common in hot weather due to ground movement.
“We’re using tankers to make sure customers in Clipston and the surrounding areas are back on water as quickly as possible.”
