Harborough Nursery Launches Fundraiser For Much-Loved Former Member Of Staff
Written by HFM News on 29th June 2022
A fundraising drive has been launched after a much-loved former worker at a Market Harborough children’s nursery was diagnosed with a rare degenerative brain disease.
The condition, known as Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD), has left Rose Darnbrough with limited speech, mobility and memory, and needing around-the-clock care.

Rose, 67, from Lubenham, was a popular member of staff at Castle Lane Day Nursery before falling ill and was well-known locally after running Market Harborough Gymnastics Club for many years.
She is now receiving specialist care at a care home in Lutterworth.
The nursery wants to raise as much as possible for PSPA (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy Association), a charity which supports people like Rose and funds research into treatments and ultimately a cure for the disease.
