A Market Harborough councillor who moved to Surrey has resigned.
Liberal Democrat Dominic Fosker has stepped down as one of the Harborough District Council members for Logan ward in the town.
He last week rejected calls by the ruling Conservative group to quit, but says a campaign urging him to resign has caused a great deal of stress to him and his family.
Mr Fosker spoke to HFM:

Mr Fosker had intended to say on as a councillor until next year’s local elections, saying he would not claim expenses to travel to meetings and give his councillor allowance to charity.
His resignation could now trigger a by-election in the Logan ward.
