Toddler Found Alone In Market Harborough Street At 5.30am

An investigation has been launched after a toddler was found alone in a Market Harborough street early this morning.
Police were alerted after a member of the public spotted the two-year-old in Lathkill Street just after 5.30am.
Officers were quickly on the scene and took the child to a place of safety.
A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told Hfm: “The parents of the child were located shortly afterwards.
“Police will now be working with partner agencies to carry out further enquiries in relation to the incident.”
It has not been revealed if the child was a boy or girl.
