Over 160 Ukrainian Refugees Granted Visas To Travel To Harborough District

Over 160 Ukrainian refugees have been granted Visas to come and stay with families in the Harborough District.
Latest government figures show 88 people who have fled the war have already arrived here, with 73 making plans to travel soon.
The host families all signed up to the Homes for Ukraine scheme, with more support being offered by people across Harborough than in any other part of Leicestershire.
Meanwhile, Harborough District Council have put up a large poster at Market Harborough Railway Station, to welcome refugees from Ukraine arriving by train.
With the heading ‘Welcome To Harborough’ which is also written in Ukrainian, it gives details on where they can find local support.
