Businesses Rally Round To Ensure Carnival Can Take Place

Businesses have donated £10,000 in just a week to ensure Market Harborough Carnival can take place next month.
Organisers have been overwhelmed by the level of support, after issuing an urgent appeal for funds when their major sponsor pulled out.
The last carnival took place in 2019
Both independent and national businesses based in and around the town have rallied round to sponsor the event, meaning the first carnival since 2019 will take place on Saturday June 11th.
Without the money, which pays for road closures, insurance, a stage and toilets, the event faced being cancelled.
