£1m Kibworth Community Hub Plan Moves Forward

The plan to create a new £1m Community Hub in Kibworth has moved a step closer.
A planning application for renovations and an extension to Kibworth Grammar School Hall has been submitted to Harborough District Council.
The major part of the proposal is the re-location of Kibworth Community Library to the venue.

Extra space would also allow more community groups to meet there and talks are also underway for it to host some NHS outreach services.
Kibworth Beauchamp Parish Council is behind the plan and hopes to secure funding to pay for the work through various grants and ‘Section 106’ money, provided by developers to improve community facilities.
If planning permission is granted and all the funding is raised, work on the improvements to the building could start this winter.
