Urgent Appeal Launched After Carnival Sponsor Pulls Out
Written by HFM News on 4th May 2022
Organisers of Market Harborough Carnival have issued an urgent appeal for help after the main sponsor of the event pulled out.
The blow left volunteers needing to find £10,000 in less than six weeks to enable the event to take place on June 11th.

The last carnival took place in 2019
Already, businesses and others have stepped forward with donations, although around £4,000 is still needed.
The cash pays for road closures, for the carnival parade, as well as toilets, the stage and insurance at the Symington’s Recreation Ground, where the event is staged.
It is now hoped others will pledge five hundred pounds each to reach the total needed so the carnival can take place for the first time since 2019.
