Burglary Gang Jailed For Stealing Luxury Cars Across Harborough

Four members of gang who burgled homes in Harborough villages to steal high performance cars have been jailed for a total of over 18 years.

They include Chay Bowskill, who a year later kidnapped his former girlfriend, who was left paralysed when she fell from a van.

The men stole keys to the vehicles by breaking into houses during the night, while the occupants were asleep.

Homes were targeted in Great Bowden, Kibworth, Fleckney, Tur Langton, Tilton on the Hill and Scraptoft.

Leicester Crown Court heard 51 cars worth over a million pounds were stolen across Leicestershire between June and October 2019, including, upmarket SUVs, an Audi SQ7, Mercedes C63s as well as BMWs, a Range Rover and VWs, some of which have never been recovered.

Bowskill, 20, formally of Syston, had four years added to his sentence after admitting his involvement in the crimes.

He is already serving 12 years for abducting Angel Lynn, who suffered severe brain damage after falling from a van on the A6 near Loughborough in 2020.

Josh Healy, 18, of Laurel Close, Mountsorrel and 19-year-old Travis Hindmarsh, of no fixed address, were jailed for four years and Barry Kew Moss, 22, for six years and three months.

All pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit burglaries.

Two other members of the gang will be sentenced at a later date.
