Police Question Man Over Allegation Of Illegal Fox Hunting

Police have questioned a man about an allegation of illegal fox hunting in a village near Lutterworth.

Officers say he attended a voluntary interview, as part of on-going enquiries into an incident in Peatling Magna in January.

An investigation was launched after hounds were seen chasing a fox out of a field and through the village.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told Hfm: “A man, in his 30s, has attended a voluntary interview in connection with the report and enquiries are continuing.”

At the time of the incident, the Great Bowden-based Fernie Hunt said a number of its hounds became ‘disorientated’ during rainfall and it took immediate action to retrieve them.
