Housing Association ‘Withdraws’ Plans To Redevelop Garage Blocks

A housing association has withdrawn plans to demolish garage blocks in three Harborough villages, to make way for new houses and apartments.

Platform Housing Group had applied for permission to re-develop the areas in Fleckney, Great Glen, Lubenham, Church Langton and Lutterworth.

The plans could be re-submitted in the future.

Marion Duffy, Chief Operations Officer, Neighbourhoods and Operations at Platform Housing Group said: “Following a meeting with Councillors and Harborough District Council, we have made the decision to withdraw the plans we have submitted and carry out consultation with our customers and the local communities.”
