Tipper Truck Crashes Into House In Fleckney

Significant damage has been caused to a house in Fleckney after a tipper truck crashed into the front of it.
Police say nobody was injured in the incident, which happened just before 8.30am today on Leicester Road.

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service and East Midlands Ambulance service were also called to the scene, between the High Street and Coleman Road junctions, opposite the entrance to a building site.
The Fire Service assessed the house to ensure it was structurally safe and the driver of the truck was checked by paramedics, but is understood to have not been injured.
A full investigation into the incident is to be carried out by Colonial Construction, who own the new homes site.
Leicester Road was closed to traffic until 1pm, while investigations were carried out.
