Harborough Estates Lose Peak-Time Bus Services

Residents on Market Harborough’s Southern and Farndon Fields estates have lost their peak time bus service.

Both areas have been removed from the route of the Arriva X3 as part of timetable changes from today, which also means the frequency of buses to and from Leicester has been cut for half-hourly to hourly.

The Sunday service has also been withdrawn.

An additional peak-time bus, service X31, has been introduced to run from Kibworth to the city, to ensure pupils can still get to school on time.

Andrew Godley, Commercial Director at Arriva, said: “Customer travel patterns have changed significantly over the past 18 months, and it is vital that we continue to prioritise our resource on providing capacity matched to demand – as we have done throughout the pandemic.”
