Search Pays Off After Message Found On Record Sleeve

The person who gave a special Christmas present to his girlfriend at the time more than 50 years ago has been tracked down after an appeal on Hfm.

Keith Gubbins from Foxton gave Sally Wilson the Beatles album Abbey Road in 1969, when both were aged 16.

It was bought recently second-hand in Norwich and a romantic message by Sally was found written on the sleeve, prompting the buyer to want to reunite it.

Keith still lives in Foxton, but Sally moved away from the village and the search for her continues.
