Harborough Police Issue E-Scooter Christmas Present Warning
Written by HFM News on 8th December 2021
Harborough Police are urging people to think carefully before buying someone an e-scooter for Christmas.
They are widely available to buy from retailers, but it remains illegal to ride them in public areas, including on roads and pavements, meaning they can be seized by officers.
The only place e-scooters can be used legally is on private land, with the agreement of the land owner.
Police say many people are confused around the rules, especially with scooters seen widely in Northamptonshire towns.
