‘White Ribbon Day’ Marked Across Hfm Region

‘White Ribbon Day’ is being marked across the Hfm Region.

It is in support of a global campaign to challenge men’s attitudes and behaviours towards women and asks people to make a pledge to “never commit, excuse or remain silent about male violence against women.”

16 days of action will follow today, to raise awareness of violent and controlling behaviour.

Harborough District Council has teamed up with local businesses to promote the campaign and Leicestershire and Northamptonshire Police are also taking part.
