Taxi Fares Across Harborough Could Increase

The cost to take a cab across Harborough could be going up.
The taxi trade wants fares to increase to reflect the rise in business costs, increases in the national minimum wage and running costs for vehicles.
It has not yet been revealed how much they could increase by, although the District Council will consider the request at a meeting later this month.
The last time fares went up was in 2017 – a request for a further rise in 2018 was rejected by the council.
