New Homes Plan For Former Shoe Factory Site

Written by on 31st August 2021

New plans have been unveiled to build 36 ‘affordable homes’ on the site of a former factory in Desborough town centre.

A mix of two, three and four bedroom homes are proposed for the site off Gold Street, which was used by shoe firm Dunkelman and Son, until the company re-located to the edge of the town in 2017.

A former Manor House, which forms part of the site, will be retained as part of the redevelopment, which will see warehouse buildings demolished.

Developer Snowdon Homes have handed a planning application to North Northamptonshire Council, replacing a previous plan for the site, submitted in 2019.
