Plea To Motorcyclists After Rider & Child Passenger Found Wearing T-Shirts & Shorts

Police are reminding motorcylists about the dangers of not wearing proper protective clothing.

Officers stopped a man for speeding and riding aggressively on the A6 near Market Harborough yesterday.

He and his child pillion passenger were found to be wearing just T Shirts and shorts.

Harborough officers posted about the incident on Twitter: “The rider of this bike was stop checked due to his extremely poor and aggressive manner of driving.

“More shocking was his and his young step daughters ppe, shorts and t-shirts. Messy when sliding along the road.”

The man was handed a Section 59 notice for the manner of riding, meaning the bike will be seized if stopped again in similar circumstances in the next 12 months.
