As we enjoy our first weekend without Coronavirus restrictions, the Leader of Harborough District Council says we must continue to be
cautious whilst infections remain high.
In The Harborough District, COVID-19 case rates remain at between two and four hundred per 100,000 people.
It’s as a new local campaign to “Get vaxxed and enjoy being back” is launched by Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning
groups.
This is to encourage young people aged 18 to 29 to get their vaccinations.
Councillor Phil King, says: “It does seem clear to me that it may not stop you 100% getting Coronavirus, in the same way that the flu vaccine
doesn’t stop you getting the flu. What it does do is lessen the symptoms and lessen the impact.”
