Investigation After House Fire In Thurnby

An investigation is underway after a fire at a house in Thurnby yesterday afternoon.
It broke out on the first floor of the detached home on Station Road just before 4pm.
Nobody was injured, with the occupants able to get out before fire crews arrived.
Two fire engines and an aerial platform ladder were sent to the scene.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service say the blaze caused heat and smoke damage to the upstairs of the property and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Station Road was closed to traffic while the fire crews worked at the scene.
