Police To Use Snapchat To Engage With Young People

Neighbourhood Police Officers across Harborough are to start using Snapchat to get their messages to more young people.

They will become the first in Leicestershire to use the photo and video sharing service as an engagement tool.

The move is one of a number of measures to try and help deal with anti-social behaviour at parks in the District.

Snapchat is more popular among young people than Facebook and Twitter and Inspector Jim Purdie, Neighbourhood Policing Commander at Market Harborough Police Station, told Hfm it will allow them to interact more with that age group:
