Go-Ahead For New Apartments In Town Centre

Written by on 30th April 2021

A church building in Market Harborough town centre is set to be converted in four apartments.

Harborough District Council has given the go-ahead for the work at the The Old Fire Station Annex off Fairfield Road, located between Abbey Street and the Angel Street car park.

The plan, which includes four car parking spaces, doesn’t affect other buildings on the site.

A planning document submitted with the planning application says: “The application site is well located in relation to services and facilities in the town and the re-use of existing buildings is encouraged in policy GD2 of the Local Plan.

“The proposed scheme would be high quality – utilising and enhancing the Old Fire Station annex building to create much needed smaller accommodation in Market Harborough.”
