Traffic Lights ‘Deliberately’ Switched Off In Little Bowden
Written by HFM News on 22nd March 2021
It’s believed traffic lights in Little Bowden were deliberately switched off on Saturday morning.
It appears somebody used a ladder to unplug them, meaning the signals either side of the railway bridge on Kettering Road, stopped working.
Driver had to negotiate the section of road themselves, until an engineer from Leicestershire County Council arrived to re-connect them.
The traffic lights were installed last year to improve safety for drivers and cyclists on the narrow stretch of road, initially on a temporary basis.
Leicestershire County Council have been approached for comment.
