A popular Police Community Support Officer was left overwhelmed after schoolchildren in Desborough gave her an impromptu round of applause.
PSCO Kerry York was on patrol walking past Havelock Junior School yesterday afternoon, when youngsters having an outdoor PE lesson started clapping, to salute her and say thanks for what she does for the community.
PSCO York told Hfm: “It was wonderful and made my day!
“I really appreciate their kindness and support and they will never know how appreciated it was.”
The children who clapped were from the Year 3 ‘Willows’ class.
