Fly-Tippers Dump Huge Pile Of Rubbish On Country lane

Harborough District Council’s Enviro-crime team is appealing for information after a large pile of rubbish was dumped in a country lane near Hallaton.

Building materials including panes of glass were part of the mess, along with a large flat-screen TV, a carpet, a mattress, bedding and plastic furniture.

It is believed it was fly-tipped on Allexton Road over the weekend.

Council officers are investigating and sifting through the rubbish for information that might identify the tippers.

A Council spokesman said: “Whilst fly-tipping is much lower in the Harborough district, compared to other areas, thanks to our tough stance on this issue, we are urging anyone with information about this incident to contact us to help us trace the people responsible.”
