Written by on 23rd February 2021

Over 10,000 Coronavirus vaccines have now been given in Market Harborough.

Nearly everyone aged over 70, registered with the town’s Medical Centre and its sister surgery in Husbands Bosworth, have had the jab, just two months after the immunisation programme began.

Staff are now preparing to vaccinate a further 1400 people in their 60s at a clinic this Friday and Saturday.

Some people under-60, who have underlying health conditions, are also being offered the jab, as well as eligible carers.

Dan Markovic, Business and Finance Manager at the Medical Centre, spoke to Hfm:

Over 250,000 people have now had a Covid-19 vaccination across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland and over 168,000 jabs have been given to people in Northamptonshire.
