Travellers Move Onto Commons Car Park

A group of travellers who moved onto part of the Commons Car Park in Market Harborough have been given notice to leave by lunchtime on Wednesday.

Around ten caravans and other vehicles arrived on the area behind the Co-Op store yesterday.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire’s Multi-Agency Traveller Unit, which works on behalf on Harborough District Council and Leicestershire County Council, said: “We are aware of travellers on the Commons car park site.

“We have given them notice to vacate the site by 12pm on Wednesday 14^th October, which will be enforced by the police if necessary.”

He applied to join the team and after jumping through many hoops and proving his worth to the station he was offered a regular 10-12PM radio show.
