Student Tests Positive For Cononavirus At Lutterworth College

A student in Year 11 at Lutterworth College has tested positive for Coronavirus. 

As a result, all other students in the year group have been told to self-isolate until October 21^st, although some maybe able to return sooner once close contacts of the pupil have been established.

In a letter to parents, Headteacher Nick Summers said: “Like most schools, we are expecting to continue to have some confirmed cases of COVID-19 and that students, and in some cases staff, will have to self-isolate as a result.

“We will continue to enforce our preventative measures and manage the safety and wellbeing of our
students in the best possible way, as well as ensuring we provide them with high quality
online learning.

“Our priority, as always, is to keep everyone safe. We continue to ensure that students wear
masks in communal areas and corridors and also recommend that they do so in lessons.

“We also continue to ensure strict adherence to our one-way systems across the school site and
in our buildings, year group bubbles, sanitising on entry and exit to classrooms and ensuring
that equipment is not shared.

“We continue to stay positive and encourage everyone to carry on enjoying school. So many
students across year groups have commented how lovely it is to be back in school and
working together. Our aim is to take each day at a time, keeping everyone safe and carrying
on teaching and learning as our main priorities.”
