Historic Village Pub Re-Opens Tonight After Closure Earlier This Year

An historic village pub which has been closed for almost seven months re-opens tonight.

The George, in Ashley, is being brought back to life by Neil and Steph Price, who had been searching for a pub to take-on in the local area for the past seven years.

Together with their son, daughter, and grandson, they have moved to The George and are making it a family-run business.

Villagers were treated to a sneak preview of the refurbished pub last night, with around 60 turning out to show their support to the new owners.

The pub is open for drinks from 6pm today, with Covid-19 safety measures in place, and will be serving food from Thursday August 20th.
