Man Airlifted To Hospital After Tree Fall

A tree surgeon has been airlifted to hospital after falling around 30 feet from a tree in the grounds of St Helen’s Church in Sibbertoft.

East Midlands Ambulance Service and fire crews from Market Harborough and Desborough were called just before 1.30pm yesterday.

The man was treated at the scene before being taken to the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire by an Air Ambulance, which landed near-by.

Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service say the man was conscious, although the extent of his injuries is not known, but not believed to be life-threatening.
