Two people were rescued by firefighters after a blaze at flats in Market Harborough on Saturday evening.
The women were led to safety and then taken to Kettering General Hospital to be treated for the effects of inhaling smoke, after becoming trapped on the first floor of Kings Court on Kings Road.
Emergency services were called at 6pm after the fire started in an electrical box in the lobby area and left the building heavily smoke logged.
Fire crews from Market Harborough, Wigston and Desborough were sent to the scene.
Residents from all the flats have had to be temporarily re-housed due to the smoke damage.
An electrical fault caused the blaze.
