Driver Taken To Hospital After B6047 Crash

A driver has been taken to hospital after a car crashed off the B6047 and collided with a tree this morning.
Emergency services were called to Melton Road, Lowesby, near Tilton on The Hill just before 7am.
Police say the injuries suffered by the male driver of the Ford Fiesta are not believed to be life changing or life threatening.
The Fire Service say they were called as it was first beleived the driver was trapped, but they had ‘self-extricated’ from the vehicle when crews arrived.
The road was closed in both directions for a time.
