The evening and weekend service at the Urgent Care Centre at St Luke’s Hospital was closed in April because of the coronavirus pandemic, due to a big drop in demand and staff being redeployed elsewhere.
Since then people have to travel to a centre in Oadby or hospitals in Kettering or Leicester for treatment.
Harborough health campaigner Phil Knowles spoke to Hfm:
A spokesman for East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning group, which operate the service told Hfm: “We are currently reviewing the out of hour’s service provision at St Luke’s Hospital in Market Harborough as part of a system wide recovery plan.
“We will notify patients once a decision has been made about how and when we are safely able to reopen services.”
