Pavement Licences To Support Cafes & Pubs
Written by HFM News on 27th July 2020
Fast-track pavement licences allowing pubs, cafes and restaurants to put tables and chairs outside are set to be introduced by Harborough Council.
The government-backed scheme is aimed at helping the hospitality sector during the Coronavirus pandemic by allowing them to serve food and drink outside their premises.
If approved it will see a decision on applications made within two weeks, including a short consultation period.
Councillors will consider the move at a meeting tonight, where they will also be asked to approve a £100 licence fee charge.
