Emergency services, including the Air Ambulance, were called to the site off Welford Road at 8.50am.

The fire service say the driver was able to get out onto the top of the cab and they used a ladder to bring them to the ground.

Leicestershire Police say they were not seriously injured, a spokesman told Hfm: “We were made aware of an incident at the quarry in Welford Road, Husbands Bosworth, around 9.15am today.

“A quarry lorry which was unloading sand turned on its side. The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. The incident happened within the site.”
