New Post Office For Market Harborough Town Centre

Market Harborough town centre has a new Post Office.
The branch on Adam and Eve Street is inside a new convenience store and replaces the one in St Mary’s Place, which closed yesterday.

The new branch, which opened this afternoon, is being run by experienced Postmaster, Ash Singh, who has two other branches, and will be open from 9am til 5.30pm Monday to Saturday.
The future of Post Office services in the town centre were thrown into doubt last year, when it was announced the branch inside the GT News shop was to close when the operator resigned.
As a result of the closure, four long-serving members of staff at the previous branch, who were employed by the shop owner James Retail, have been made redundant.
They are thanking people for their custom and friendship over the years.
James Retail have been approached for comment.
The new shop and Post Office is run by a different company.
