Santander, Market Harborough
A Market Harborough bank has been forced to close because of the Coronavirus outbreak.
Santander say a number of staff from its branch on the High Street are self-isolating, meaning it is temporarily shut.
The firm says it’s working hard to re-open the bank as soon as possible, but the focus is the well-being of employees, customers and the wider community.
A spokesman told Hfm: “In order to protect our staff and to help with the national effort to slow the spread of the virus, a number of our more vulnerable branch colleagues are currently being advised to stay at home. As a result, our Market Harborough branch is temporarily closed.
“We are working hard to re-open the branch as soon as we possibly can, but would urge customers to use mobile or online banking wherever possible to allow those most in need to have access to our branch network.
“If customers do require counter services while the branch is temporarily closed, they can visit their nearest alternative branch at 60-64 High Street, Kettering, NN16 8SA or local post office. Customers can also find answers to many questions on our website, using our online chat service or through social media.
“Our focus is on the well-being of our employees and our customers, and supporting the wider community. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused during this difficult time.”
