A man who admitted stealing a disabled pensioner’s bags in Market Harborough just before Christmas has had his sentencing deferred.
Lance Collins grabbed the 78 year old woman’s handbag and shopping from her car in the Sainsbury’s car park on Springfield Street on 19th December.
The 33 year old, of St Stephens Road in Nottingham, had already pleaded guilty to the thefts at Leicester Magistrates – and was due to be sentenced at Leicester Crown Court on Friday 6th March.
However, Judge Spencer QC ruled that sentencing will now take place at Nottingham Magistrates Court on 29th May – after another case against him is heard there two days’ earlier.
In the meantime, Collins remains in custody.
