Community Groups benefit from HDC Community Grant Fund

Seventeen community groups across the Harborough district are celebrating a cash windfall totalling nearly £70,000.
Among those to benefit are Harborough Community Bus – awarded £5,000 towards a new vehicle.
Market Harborough Fixers Club have also been handed the same amount for a project to encourage people to recycle and repair – and those who look after Lubenham Village Green have received
just over £4,000 to improve disabled access, install extra seating and extensive tree works.
Harborough-based Room for Music have also benefitted along with Hallaton Museum, Kibworth Bowling Club and Shopmobility.
Hfm was also awarded a grant for new equipment for outside events.
The money has come from Harborough District Council’s Community Grant Fund for projects that increase participation in physical activity, support vulnerable people or create stronger communities.
