Written by HFM News on 13th February 2020
Post Office services in Market Harborough town centre look to have been saved, with the announcement today a new branch is set to open.
It will go inside a new convenience store planned for an empty shop on Adam and Eve Street – formally a beer shop.

The new Post Office is planned for 17 Adam & Eve Street
The future of a Post Office in the town centre has been in doubt since it was announced the current branch at the GT News Shop in St Mary’s Place is to close.
It will now remain open until June in the hope there will be a seamless transfer to the new venue, which would open half an hour later Monday to Saturday, at 9am.

The Post Office say access at the entrance to the new shop, which will be fully refurbished, will be made level, as there is currently a step, to ensure disabled access.
A consultation on the move has been launched today and runs for the next six weeks.
Customers and interested parties to give their comments on accessibility, local community issues and anything the Post Office can do to make life easier for them.
