Appeal After Dog Stolen In Burglary

A family has been left devastated after burglars stole their pet dog from their home in a Harborough village while they were asleep.

‘Lottie’, a three-year-old Dalmatian, was taken from Gemma Hopkins’ house on Ashby Road in Peatling Parva sometime between 3am and 7am yesterday.

She believes the intruders targeted the house specifically to steal the dog, described as the best friend to her 11-year-old autistic daughter Chloe, as nothing else was taken.

The dog was bought as a present for Chloe when it was a puppy, to help her deal with anxiety.

It also has a liver condition, meaning Lottie needs a special diet.
