Arrest After Man Stabbed In Town Centre

A man was stabbed in Market Harborough town centre last night.
He was attacked outside Flames takeaway on the High Street just before 7pm and suffered a serious wound to his chest.
The High Street was closed by Police
The victim, whose age has not been revealed, but who was an adult, remains in hospital with injuries that Police say are not believed to be life-threatening.
A 20-year-old man from Leicester, has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in custody.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or the events leading up to it, to get in touch with them.

The High Street was closed to traffic between Coventry Road and Abbey Street for over two hour and the area where the attack happened cordoned off by Police.
