Calls For Better Planning On Roadworks
Written by HFM News on 15th August 2019
There are calls today for better planning during the remainder of the water pipe renewal project in Market Harborough.
It’s as drivers continue to face long delays after temporary traffic lights were installed on a route being used as a diversion because of the on-going closure of Rockingham Road.
The restrictions at the Gores Lane/Kettering Road junction came into force without warning on Monday and last until yesterday afternoon.
Harborough County Councillor Sarah Hill spoke to HFM:
Severn Trent Water, which is spending £2m on replacing water pipes across town, with work continuing for the remainder of the year, has apologised for the inconvenience to drivers.
