Man Released On Bail

A man has been released on bail after being questioned about a hammer attack in Market Harborough town centre.

Police say the incident happened on the High Street on Wednesday evening and the victim, aged 42, then went to an address at Edwin Court, on Kettering Road.

Officers were alerted by the East Midlands Ambulance Service, who were called shortly before 9pm.

The man was taken to Kettering General Hospital with injuries described by Police as non life-threatening.

A 48-year old-man arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
