Redevelopment Plan In Doubt

The plan to convert a historic building in Market Harborough town centre into apartments appears to be in doubt.

Developers have withdrawn a planning application for Brooklands House on Northampton Road, that also included a new two-storey building going up at the rear, backing onto Walcot Road.

The building – that went up in the 19^th Century as a home for the Symington Family – has stood empty for the last four years, after previously being used as an office for Social Services.
