Opposition Mounts To New Homes Plan

There is major opposition to plans to demolish elderly people’s bungalows and flats to make way for 39 new houses in Market Harborough.

Over 50 people have contacted Harborough Council lodging their objections to the controversial proposal for Naseby Square on the Southern Estate, which would see nine bungalows and eight flats demolished.

Concerns include the loss of the current homes, increased traffic, parking problems and the effect on neighbouring properties.

Harborough Council handed in planning application for the redevelopment last month.
