Fundraisers Depart For Cycling Trek

A team of four cyclists from Market Harborough are setting off on a big fundraising challenge today.

They’re heading to Geneva in Switzerland when they’ll then embark on a 700 kilometre ride through the mountains to Nice in France.

Duncan Murray, of Duncan Murray Wines, Glen Thurgood, owner of The Training Shed, Matt Williams, who works there, and local businessman Edward Every, from Ashley, will climb around 15,000 metres during the journey, which is set to take a week.

It’s all to raise funds for the King College Hospital’s research into liver cancer.
